I just picked up Alesis data disk - don't know if anyone has had any experience with these - but it occurred to me that it is another possible way to solve FZ disk problems - the manual says it supports handshaking.I intend testing it with the FZ to see what happens.
There is an 800k limit on files though which may cause a problem.

hello thank you with win8 Fzdump doesn't work, or I can't get it to work, can you give me a link for that software alchemy please for mac, I have a mac os 10.5 might work. couldn't find it on the net . thank you for your reply ;) i don't yet have HXC sd drive maybe i'll get into that but id like to try out the fz10M with midi for now ;)

Remonte mode can't be change. you have to select the mode and type enter to place the FZ1 in remote mode. In remonte mode you can start the dump from a computer ( load or save ).

You can also do a dump in data dump menu if in device menu you have select midi.

If i remember correctly you can't do handshake dump with the Alesis.

On XP I use File EX to do midi dump.
