Thanks for the compliment.  I'm more of an engineer (actually I'm a 
manager) and less of a musician.  I never record but mostly play and I 
don't have a great sense of timing so my questions about accuracy are 
truly from ignorance.

What I have been pondering is whether the inherent accuracy of the 
AtomPro needs to be improved, or if it could be accomplished through 
synchronization.  The issue is there isn't much processing time 
available if 1mS resolution is required.

I have to read your references from the other posting but I'm starting 
to think we need to improve the accuracy with a crystal oscillator and 
then use synchronization at a much longer time interval or perhaps 
just at initialization to sync them together.  The available pins do 
provide edge-sensitive interrupts so a single external event should 
be able to easily synchronize the. I do have a spare AtomPro28 and may 
try to see if I can get an oscillator or crystal to fit.  That's some 
serial rework, though.
