Thought I was clear about that in message: 1219 

The trick is, the Evolver gets a trigger (=sequencer restart) from a 
midi note wich at the same time switches the pattern.
This way a new pattern always starts exactly where you want it.
So you do not switch patterns with the program knob on the evolver 
(wich will not work nicely like you mentioned) but with a program 
change from another sequencer at position 1.1.000 and than you place 
a midi note at the same position wich acts as trigger.
