Have you got your osc pitchs tuning set very high to
start with?  If you have writen a med-low range bass
line on your evolver and all your seq values are under
36 then chances are your osc tunings are set fairly
high.  
I've done similar a thing and after checking the the
usual suspects like instrument and keyboard transpose
to find I had osc tuning set at c5 or something
stupidly high like that. 
Now imagine what the hairs in your ear canal would
look like if you made the same mistake with a h/p lead
line!
