Whatever you guys choose to do with the licensing is fair enough, though it just makes a bit of a difference to how we end users get to enjoy them. I'm sure somewhere in all those patches, I'll find some synth sounds that I want to use as is, or with just the tiniest bit of tweaking... It would be nice to just be able to use them.. :-) Sequences, on the other hand....... I'm not 100% sure about what to do with sequences.. I mean, even the ones that are part of the presets of the evolver... The thing is, a sequence could also count as a recorded musical performance if someone wanted to get all legal and stuff... I guess it would be even more so with the "multitimbral" sequences that do melody/chord or counterpoint... (not that I'd feel comfortable using something like that from someone else as the basis for a song anyway though) at the very least though, the tricky sequences are great to examine and play around with... Does anyone know what are the legalities with things like pattern presets in roland grooveboxes? I'm sure a company like roland would have already worked this sort of thing out. The answer is probably sitting tucked away at the start of someone's mc303 manual.... :-) julian
