I would like a poly evolver attempted to hit a similar price and portabilty point to the current model rather than competing with the Alesis A6 or something - hence leave off the keyboard! I would love it if the poly version carried on the evolver tendency of being primarily a very complex sequencer which can be also used as a keyboard type synth, rather than like most synths, a keyboard synth with a sequencer tacked on as an afterthoought. I would like to put in my 2 cents that a poly version MUST have an LED and knob for each sequence step so you know where you are - it may seem a small thing but its huge to me. the fact that the evolver has all this sequencer modulation possibilty means that I cannot imagine not having one for sequencing. The fact that it has the FASTEST midi repsonse I've ever come across (as fast as the Akai EVW2000 - which runs on CV!) means I need another to use as a windsynth - if I could do both in the one box I'd be a happy chappie. I'd also like two midi ins and outs so the sequencer could be addressed completely separately by a midi controller while you could play a melodic line on another patch using a keyboard or breath controller. For my uses the abilty to play big chords are less important than the idea of having four or eight evolvers in one box - I believe the sequencing possibilties of that could generate completely new genres of music!
