as a follow up: its not quite as intuitive as i thought - its odd that when I select say C33 I get the sound but the patch I have on screen reads C2 and doesn't change when I select different patches from the bank - so If I select C33 and want to save it to C34 I don't know how to do it - I'm scared of overwriting something I want - I don't understand the full relationship between what I see and what i hear Genetics look rather interesting to say the least! the words morph, mutate and random are always good to find on a synth - but think I might need a help file to figure all that out! looks like Dave hasn't finished messing with our heads yet!
