RE: [Evolver] MIDI In prob? Trying to load OS 2.0

2003-10-15 by Quest Pond

I had no luck with midi-ox, buffers and all, i was shure my midi was broken some how. I ended up downloading some other program from some german website and this worked first time, cant remember the name now.
Also i have had a quick mess around with the decay and release sequencer mods and it doesnt quite seem to work as i expexted. Are these settings for the sequencer set absolute values overriding the adsr envelope? Even so the results dont seem as i would expect, or maybe i havent experiemented enough.
Also is there a legato no/off sequencer destination would be nice? ala 303?
Any thoughts?
Quest

Subject: [Evolver] MIDI In prob? Trying to load OS 2.0

hey,

I loaded MIDI-OX.... set the output buffer up as SKI suggested...
set up my midi output, plugged my Evolver into that sucker. When I
try to send the PIC sysex file I can see the data going out on my
MIDISport 2X2 usb interface.... but nothing happens on my evolver
once it's done transmitting. I tried sending MIDI note data as well
and there is no response from any of the programs. i checked both
the dsp and pic versions and they are both at 1.0 currently (this is
a used unit, serial number 00088)df.

I have no other MIDI Devices plugged in. I've only got midisport out
plugged to Evolver in.
tried 2 different midi cables. tried pluggin my remote 25 MIDI
keyboard into it and it doesn't seem to be responding to note data.
functionally everything else is working fine.

Any ideas?? is this a back to dave issue?
