If i may add something here. I went the same route as ciscimanvann. I bought an MD and worked with it for 3-4 months. The first one i received had dust and a few scratches so i exchanged it (Elektron did a good job on that). Great UI, better sequencer than i thought but i didn't fell in love with the sound. Althought, it does sound precise and punchy it's not what "I" (read: that's only MY opinion) was looking for. However, keep in mind i'm not in to electronic music, more in to rock-blues-punk with the use of synths and some electro drums. So i decided to go back to HD sampling. I purchased the Esx-1 this week and so far it's exactly waht i was looking for. I think the sound is way more pro than the Es-1. I like the tubes, the way i can work with the FX, motion sequence and the possibility of sequencing both of my synths. The price is right too. Only thing i don't like: no enough polyphony in stereo. I used to have an RS700 from yamaha. Great machine, i highly recommend. I prefer the Esx-1 just because it's smaller, more user friendly and the price. I have since bought an esx-1 ( flame away ) and just feed it sample for all my drum needs. I like it. One day I will consider getting a machinedrum again. I just wish for the price it had a dead ringer 909 emulation. --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "privat_joy" <privat_joy@y...> wrote: > --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "mr julian" <jujulilianan@w...> wrote: > > From: "Joe" <jmelnyk@c...> > > > > > Still very tempted by the machinedrum though...
