Stefan, Thank You! Your reply got me on the right track. I set the Evolver as you said and went into Pro Tools to set up the MIDI beat clock. Apparently it wasn't configured yet so when I hit play on the transporter it started playing. So far my experience has only been with softsynths and so I was clueless about using MIDI hardware.
