Hi Chris,

I use Cubase as host sequencer. Cubase sends midi clock to the interface
port that is connected to the Evolver. The Evolvers Midi-Clock is set to
"In".
With this setup the Evolver step sequencer starts as soon as I hit the start
button in Cubase.

It is essential thzat your host software is able to send midi clock.
What programs are you using ?

Regards
Stefan

Stefan,

Thank You! Your reply got me on the right track. I set the Evolver as you said and
went into Pro Tools to set up the MIDI beat clock. Apparently it wasn't configured yet
so when I hit play on the transporter it started playing. So far my experience has only
been with softsynths and so I was clueless about using MIDI hardware. Now I can
really get started!

Thanks Again,
Chris
