Program Names

2003-10-24 by goodkarma61

I've updated to OS 2.0 and purchased the evolver SoundEditor. Great
new stuff. But I don't see the Patch Names like in the example
SoundEditor screen on the DSI's web site. Are all four banks
available with patch names?

I downloaded the V2.0 banks but after loading into the evolver the
names apear as SYSEX A-001, etc. I that correct?

No. Not yet.

I just posted info yesterday that answers this question. (Does anyone
ever read this stuff?) Here are the links:

(read the second paragraph from the bottom)

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link(s)
above onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link(s) into
your browser address bar.)

For OS 2.0 and the Evolver SoundEditor, have the Patch Names been
published yet. I don't see the Patch Names like in the example
SoundEditor screen on the DSI's web site. Are all four banks
available with patch names?

No, the patch names are not yet available.

I was working with Dave on this matter while he was preparing the
final collection of the "version 2" presets for OS2. I had about 95%
of the patch names completed, and Dave made a few last minute
changes, and I was short on time and not able to complete everything
before Dave needed to ship the OS2 Evolvers. Since then, the
upcoming Poly Evolver has been demanding most of the attention.

I was also hoping to identify all the authors of the v2 presets. I
have many of them, but there are still quite a few carryover patches
from the v1 presets that are unidentified.

Hopefully we can get this done someday soon!

Any news on this? I would be willing to help to get the "right" names
in place, otherwise I'm going to have to make up my own bizarre
handles for the sounds...
