Hi, I am a Thunder player/owner and a Evolver owner but I've not connected them. The main reason is indeed that the Thunder thrives on multi-timbral boxes. The Thunder is much better suited for a device like a MicroWaveXT or (my personal favorite) a Yamaha TX802, or an Oberheim Xpander. That said, the Thunder is also a great device for sending continuous control messages so I could invision connecting it to the Evolver where every playing key would be mapped to the Evolver and all the key gestures would be CCs of some type to control the modulation sources on the Evolver. Send me some e-mail off list if you get the Thunder and we can discuss it in greater depth. --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "deknoww" <deknow@n...> wrote: > had anyone tried this combo? is the thunder so essentially > polyphonic that it would be silly to do this? i have never used a > thunder, but i might have the opportuninty to aquire one. > > deknow
