I sync the Evolver (slave) to my MPC (sequencer) so that the Evolver runs through a sequence. Great for beat-matching any parameter in the Evo to a song, even just simple delays. I like to sample my guitar (or any other sound source), let's say 4 bars, let my MPC 'play guitar' and run the signal into the Evo. This lets me tweek the Evo instead of play guitar. I run through and edit the sequence note-by-note. Great for getting the God Live Underwater sound! Then I can go back an play guitar after the EVO is all setup. Gating the Evo's sequencer with MIDI (from the MPC/recorded MIDI or live/keyboard) is also an aural treat! This is all great _if_ you use a sequencer! I usually set up all four sequences, plus adding an OSC or two for melodic content. VCA is great to sequence for a stuttery guitar sound, from mild to ....I'll say it....wild. I'll see if I can post an mp3 somewhere........ Scott
