I'm reading with great anticipation the thread about the guy with the Edirol editor. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out! I just wanted to throw my .02 cents in here, and say that one thing we need to keep in mind using Sysex instead of MIDI CC is the amount of MIDI traffic you're going to generate when tweaking a knob. MIDI CC only takes 3 bytes to send a new value, so every time you tweak a knob a small amount, only 3 bytes per value are sent. However, with Sysex you're sending 9 bytes "per tweak". It will be interesting to see if you can "play" the Edirol in realtime without causing the Evolver to "choke" on the extra MIDI data. That is... if you're playing with the keyboard with one hand, and slowly (or quickly) changing Filter cutoff using Sysex with the other hand... can the Evolver keep up? Hopefully where this will all lead is... Dave will feel encouraged to add the extra MIDI CC controls you all asked for earlier! Good luck, guys!
