In the evolver, the signal flow looks something like:

  Midi -> GlideFilter --->+
                          |Sum ----> OscPitch
          Sequencer ----->+

If you play while the sequencer is running (in a mode where midi input is
enabled!), you'll hear the sequenced pitches, with no glide, and your midi
input _with_ glide.

So if you want some sort of 303 thing, you'll have to use an external
sequencer.
