Any sound editor should work, a decent free one is Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net, at which point it's just a matter of
finding good source material. Open your file and zoom in until you
start seeing tiny boxes. Each box denotes 1 sample. Find a section
you like, and cut out a 128 sample section of it (this is a very
short period of time, and will sound like a click unless you enable
looping of the section)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
