Please be kind... > > dmn well I take an existing 128 sample file, open it in Audacity and then just mangle it and then save it to a new name....I also loaded several pre-existing files and then exported the whole pile out to a mono WAV and then you get the sum of the parts when you reload that file back...it seems to work OK but I've only done this a dozen times or so ......as another newbie here, can I ask that some other more experienced member of this group care to address the plusses and minuses of these 128 sample sources for making the Evolver sound better (well at least different, it sounds pretty good as is) .. i.e. what type of shapes works best (or at least create interesting sound?), what's better, specific shapes or random wiggles, symmetry or non symmetry or what? just curious.... of course I can dork with it for a while to find out slowly , but if 90% of the time its a dead end, a little suggestion or a few tips from someone would be very appreciated ....in the meantime I've got my hands full just working through just what came out of the box .....thanks to all
