Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

Hi all, I'm new to the group. I just got my evolver. I love this 
little machine. I love the gameboy deluxe soundtracks it can create. 
So simple and so beautiful... Anyways, I have two questions I would 
like you to help me with:

1. Is there a power off switch, button, etc..? The only way I know to 
turn my evolver off is simply unplug it. Is there any alternative?

2. I'm using a machinedrum as master clock. How do you guys use the 
evolver with other sequencers? I can make the MD trigger the 
sequences when I press play in the MD sequencer, but other than that 
its quite messy, because even when having it midi synced, I have to 
start the evolver sequence manually and sometimes I will miss the 
beat. Can I make a note in my sequencer that triggers the sequence in 
the Evolver? how? Can I make a program change message?

If you have any experience or ideas with syncing evolver to other 
sequencers, please tell me.
