Good practice for thinking about the possibilities, but not cool. Miss
Fashion Authority speaks!
Cheap manufacture, and white isn't classy.
CafePress is great for personal projects. My friend Packrat (Keyboard's
latest cartoon acquisition) did up a page of Packrat stuff, and I bought a
long-sleeved shirt and a mousepad. Light-colored graphics such as cartoons look fine
on white, but the shirt faded and got kinda perpetually-wrinkly on the first
wash.
Dark colored graphics just look like an unrelated blob printed on white. DSI
swag deserves way better than the CafePress operation.
I'd like to see dark blue with a white design--maybe the PolyEvo logo and/or
Dave's signature and maybe a row of silhouetted white keys. Hear-hear for the
warning that simplicity is best.
Dave, I'd hold off and do it up right, or not at all.
I had great luck having my own "vanity" shirts made here:
http://www.designashirt.com
It cured my swag-lust for anyone else's logo-wear, but I'd still go for an
Evolver shirt, for sure! You can order multiple colors and sizes in the same
product, and supply your own art work. The shirts are good quality and there's a
big color range in the men's t-shirts. They have a very helpful gal you can
talk to on the phone.
You can get a couple of dozen shirts for about $200 in a bunch of colors.
Mine used two colors of text plus a bit of art work. You could test the market
this way.
Gimme a shout for free critiques! :-)
