Re: Anyone own a PEK AND an evolver desktop...

2005-08-09 by Eric Lawson

After I got my PEK back in May, I started lusting after additional
polyphony and strongly considered the Evo tabletop. I rationalized
that if I was willing to spend $500 for one extra voice, why not make
a little bit more of an investment and just go for the PE Rack and
that's what I did. So I have full 8 voice poly and the flexibility to
just use the PER if I don't have room for the PEK. I have my S90
Master keyboard set up with 2 banks of patch changes just for the
PEK/PER rig, so if I'm not carrying my PEK as the master for the PER,
my S90 can seamlessly change patches for the PER.

If you get the Evo and find yourself craving more than 5 voices,
you'll ultimately end up with the PER. May as well save a step and go
for the PER right away! :)

Regards,
Eric
