actually most of my modern synths (nord micro, nord G2, alesis andromeda) do 
have freely assignable CCs. This is incredibly flexible when using esoteric 
midi controllers like wx5, synthophone, qchord etc which don't have much 
innate flexibilty

my dream was for the evo to become the (only) modern great analog windsynth, 
but for this to happen, CCs like 16, 17, 18, 80 and 81 need to be freely 
assignable  - I guess this will never happen now

oh well, I still luuurcv my evo, but yes i am dissappointed
