Actually tt seems the upgrade is hardware and OS dependant on what your
current OS or current hardware actually is. Refer to this link on Dave's
website.  My PER needed the chip upgrade and it is fairly easy to do if you
can operate a screwdriver.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
