I did think of that too (so I say... :) ). The drawback for me is that I make patterns with the goal of eventually syncing them with other gear... and of course I could record the midi pattern and sequence externally, but I love the method of using gear that is independantly sequenced, for me it allows the funkiest live tweaking. But I agree it is a cool workaround. Now that I'm thinking about it again, suppose I'll have to do it, thanx :) Another semi-workaround is to modulate a pitch envelope, but it's a lot more work to get glide-type results that way.
