Dudes (and to maybe the one dudette that is out there...if any): I want a poly evolver because I need real analog and I can't bring myself to spend $16,000 on a Voyager (or whatever they cost). 1. Does anyone have the Voyager, and does anyone prefer its measly 1 note of polyphony to the evolver; and 2. Can the poly evolver be "toned down" to use for ambient pads, etc. I have heard all of the demos and people love to show off the balls out obnoxiousness of the tuned feedback, etc., but can you run all of those oscillators into melodic streams? 3. Are you generally satisfied with the sound of the evolver? I have an Access Virus TI (just purchased) to do all of my clean digital sounding stuff. I am looking for something more organic for leads, moving background pads, etc. Is the poly evolver suitable? Appreciate the help. No music store around here carries one of these things, so I am at your mercy. --Hank
