it's the MIDI recieve indicator. Check page 7 of the manual (well, page 
7 of  my 2.02 manual at any rate!)

in MIDI input jack. Note that it flashes even when MIDI input is disabled."

if it's flashing steadily, very very fast (almost too fast to see it's 
actually flashing) then chances are it's recieving a MIDI clock signal, 
which would mean it's flashing at 24ppqn of whatever tempo of whatever's 
sending the clock data. Otherwise it could be recieving active sense 
messages , or note messages, or anything on the MIDI bus.. not 
necessarily just data on its own chanel, either...
