Probably you'll have to change the attack.  A fast enough attack will 
generally produce some kind of discontinuity- which you'll hear as a click.  
On newer synths I think it's more noticeable because high-speed digital 
envelopes can produce instant-on attacks that you can't usually get from 
analog stuff (well, except organs maybe).
