It happens when you get an email from someone that is fake (but you dont know it) and it asks you to log in...you type in your username and password in what you THINK is ebay but it's not...once they get it they turn off all emails going to your account so you dont get an email saying you're selling a 2005 lamborghini or a Jupiter 8. So if you get an email even if it's from ebay dont log onto ebay throught the email...log onto it through ebays site. It happened to me once but i caught it within a day and fixed it. I personally got an email that said someone paid me for something and didnt get it so i hit the respond button that took me to the fake ebay login...then they had my username and password. I hope this helps, there are a bunch of scammers on ebay now... --- Bernie Kornowicz <kornowicz@...> wrote: > --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, marzzz@... > wrote: > > > > > > In a message dated 5/12/06 6:07:32 PM, > kornowicz@... writes: > > > > > > > My eBay account was recently hijacked by some > scumbag. > > > > > > > Just curious, but how were they able to hijack > your account? > > > > -M > > > > I wish I knew.
