Different here.  I haven't had a serious crash yet although I have had a few 
weird sysex issues with the current build.  As far as loading is concerned, 
I don't try to load the top level MQ format (with all the plumbing) but 
rather a much lower level one that just contains the patch.  But even with 
the most bloated file type, it still takes less time to load than certain 
other plugs.  The MQ side does seem a bit crufty, though, and I look forward 
to them moving to a more streamlined architecture.

It's not perfect as a VST but it's still very usable and my experience of it 
has mostly been of transparency: I just use it and don't think too much 
about it.  It's certainly been less trouble than a friend's experience with 
a virus TI.  I don't use the standalone mode any more, but when I did I'd 
have to disagree that the graphical benefits were purely cosmetic: the 
dynamic sequencer edit mode makes it very easy to set up complex 
interrelating patterns with the sequencers because you can see what is 
happening on each step.

Equally fwiw, my experiences of the ST editor were far less salutory: it 
would occasionally lock up my computer (sometimes taking it down entirely) 
whenever a sysex dump took place.

Apparently psicraft are going to release a demo as soon as the 1.0 is out.  
You could always wait until then and then compare them directly for 
yourself...
