User waveform sequencing ability would be a great addition to the OS. However, being a PEK owner, I would love for some of the broken bits of OS to be fixed before adding new stuff to it. Some of these include: -Saving program changes in Combo mode (in Combo mode, many ideas come from tweaking the parts (programs) but they cannot be saved. Many times the parts can't even be tweaked, and any tweaking kills the whole combo. It's terrible.) -"Trigger Select -> Keyboard Only" should work in Program mode (in Program mode, this option (which you'd use for example to sequence waveforms without triggering the envelopes) does not work. In fact, running the sequencer steals voice one and renders it useless. This can be worked around by loading the program in Combo mode and setting the part to "Trigger select -> Keyboard Only", but that leads back to #1 and the failure of that programming choice.) -Key Follow doesn't work with sequencer (How many times do I program a patch with some filter tracking and then try to program a sequence, only to have the sequence sound nothing like the patch? The sequencer triggers envelopes, but the key follow only follows actual key presses and not oscillator values. I'm sure there's some bright reason for this, but it frustrates me every time.) -Glide control doesn't work for the sequencer (Is there no way to glide with the sequencer? That would be cool.) I guess that last one could go in back of sequencing user waveforms... Don't get me wrong, I love the PEK, but these things frustrate me to no end and force me to bail on a work method in favor of a less intuitive one each time. I had some energy a while back to try to get this kind of list going, but lost it (probably due to the frustration...) If you get anywhere with this (or if anyone hears anything from Dave Smith about anything) please give an update.
