Andy,
Greatly appreciated. Your comments are well thought through; obviously a heavy 'user'! I've sent them on to programming and will report back to board as I hear back.
cheers

Hi Derek,
I'm new to this group, so hopefully this post will show up. Anyway, great news on the
update. Here are some ideas I have:
1. It would be nice if you could have multiple windows open at once, especially for those
of us with multiple screens. You can kind of do this now, but it's not quite there yet. It
would be nice if you could keep your program and combo edit windows open, while also
having your combo and program patch lists open as well, so you could jump around much
easier as far as editing goes. If you want to get really crazy, maybe even something like
Screen Sets in Logic, where for a certain wavetable patch, the wave editor would be open
as well as the program editor, etc. All of this could be accessed with a few keystrokes.
2. I'm not sure how realistic this would be, but it would be REALLY nice for those of us
who only have a PEK if, when using an external keyboard controller, you moved an
assigned knob/fader, the appropriate knob/fader on the editor display would move as
well. This would make programming with a controller soooo much easier and with a lot
less guess work.
To take this one a step further, one of the things I love about Kontakt is the fact that when
you modulate something, you can see how the modulation is effecting that parameter
because the value indicator move accordingly. Why not have the parameters in the
interface do the same?
3. If you have the source/destination assignment windows open for a particular
modulator, you cannot have any other source/destination window open. It would be very
nice if you could. Simply name them "LFO Source 1," "Modulation Destination 3," etc.
Maybe even have each LFO/Modulation section be a different color and the windows would
correspond, colorwise.
4. I'm coming up with more as I think about this, but I'll save those for another time
perhaps, and this will be the last one. How about a page for modulations where you can
simply click and drag arrows to and from sources and destination. So if you wanted to
modulate the filter with 4 LFOs and a Modulator, you would just click and drag an arrow
from each of the 5 straight to the filter. Then you could increase the amplitude of the
modulation in some other window. Maybe that could even change the color of the "cable"
between the source and destination(s) to indicate a "hotter" signal.
I hope I didn't go way overboard here, but you asked for! Hope to see some of these in
the next episode. Thanks for doing this. -Andy
