I'll answer your questions in order below... 1) My sequencer speed stays the same after I change programs. Use Pgm Tempo is set to on, how can this happen? >>> If you're switching between patches that have sequences with different tempos, it *shouldn't* happen. My best guess is that either a) the sequences you're switching between just happen to have the same tempo, or b) you need to double check the "Use Program Temp" setting. 2) When I attempt to use a midi keyboard to program pitch changes into the sequencer, only note-on is reconized not pitch change. When I go out of sequencer mode the pitch change is reconized. (i followed directions on pg. 16 of the manual) >>> I hesitate to say "never" or "can't", but I really don't think there's any way to program pitch changes into the sequencer by using a MIDI keyboard. You have to use the knobs to dial in the desired sequencer step values, whether the sequence is being used to modulate pitch, filter, waveshape, etc. You may also want to pay attention to the "Key Off/Xpose" parameter in each patch. 3) Even if I wanted to program a basic melody into the evolver without a keyboard, where would I start? I don't see where pitch changes are programmed for each step. >>> In "normal" mode, you first have to set one or more "Seq Dest" (in row 8) to control pitch. Then, in "sequence edit mode", simply select the row for the appropriate sequence track, and twist the knobs to set the pitch of each step. As I said in my sequencer post in the EX5Tech Evolver forum, it's handy to have a keyboard synth nearby as an audible pitch reference.
