Re: freeware VSTi MED editor

2008-02-05 by staplesyrup

First off, have you followed the updated instructions on my blog? youve installed plugoo,
Max runtime, put the Meditor.vst in your pluggo folder?

the UDP.app must be loaded up to allow sysex communication, and the MEditor vst open
in Live.

next, the "dump" button requests an "all parameter dump" from the evolver, in case you
have disconnected the evolver for some reason. you shouldnt have to use it often. in fact
it doesnt really need to be there.
the editor should automatically request all evolver parametres whenever it is loaded up,
or whenever you change program on your evolver, or change program from the editor (top
right).

try changing the filter cutoff on the evolver. the filter cutoff on the editor should move.
adjusting the filter cutoff on the editor should be mirrored on the evolver itself.

If you change program on the evolver, all the parameters on the editor should change to
show the state of the evolver.

yes its realtime control, you can automate all the parameters form Live , like you would a
softsynth.
A bonus of using the VST parameters is you can use the VST programs in Live to save a
load of evolver paramteter sets which can be recalled without having to save them as
programs on your evolver.

as i said its not a librarian itself, but you can use copy and paste to move programs around
slots.

good luck!

James
