Not all midi interface drivers have so called multi applikation abilities. If the driver of your interface doesn't have this ability, it won't allow two programs to use the midi ports simultaneously. Most times you won't have another possibilty than to try a different interface. It isn't easy however to find out if an interface is suited for multi-application use because most manufacturers don't publish detailed specifications about that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brain" <brainwashing@...> To: <DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, October 19, 2008 1:36 AM Subject: [DSI Synths] Use the Editor and Ableton Live ? > Hello > > I have the Soundtower Evolver editor, but i can't use it when i launch > Ableton Live before. > > Evolver midi out > My firewire midi box in > My firewire midi box out > Evolver midi in. > > I've tried to use a virtual midi cable but it doesn't work. > > How do you do to use them both ? > > Brain >
