Mopho Announcement

Mopho Announcement

2008-10-09 by iain010100

http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/mopho/ $399 usd.

... plus a case for the P'08, and an expression pedal.

I just got this email newsletter from Joanne McGowan @ DSI (photos not
included):

DSI Customer News October 8, 2008

The Prophet `08/Evolver Keyboard cases are here!

We know some of you have been waiting a long time and we appreciate
your patience. The initial sample we received needed a few tweaks, so
we went back to the drawing board and came up with something we think
everyone will be happy with. The only feature change from the previous
announcement is that the final case has no wheels. (We didn't think
they were necessary—the case is very light and maneuverable without them.)

The cases are available direct and can be purchased using our web
order form: http://davesmithinstruments.com/Order/order.mv. The cost
is $299 plus $20 shipping and handling in the US ($40 to Canada).
Shipping outside the US and Canada is available but, due to the size
of the case, costs at least $100. (Shipping to some countries or
certain locations within some countries may be more.) For details,
specs, and photos, see the case product page:
http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/accessories/case.php

We have pedals too!

The DSI expression pedal is made from tough, durable ABS and is
compatible with all DSI instruments that have an expression pedal input.

The cost is $49.99 for customers in the US and $54.99 for customers in
Canada. Shipping charges are included in the price. Click here to order:

Please note: This item is only available direct from Dave Smith
Instruments and, due to excessive shipping costs, will only be shipped
to customers in the USA and Canada. (It is, however, ROHS compliant.)

Meet Mopho! (Only $399 MAP)

Mopho is a compact and affordable—but powerful—monophonic analog
synthesizer. The voice architecture is identical to a single voice of
the Prophet '08, but with a couple of unique twists to distinguish it
from its bigger sibling.

We have added two sub-octave generators—one per oscillator—for
additional girth and crushing basses. It also has an audio input that
lets you process external audio and mix Mopho's own audio output back
in pre-filter for feedback effects that can range from subtle
distortion to extreme skronk. To learn more about Mopho, click here:

Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate your business and
hope you are enjoying your instrument.

Use the Editor and Ableton Live ?

2008-10-18 by Brain

Hello

I have the Soundtower Evolver editor, but i can't use it when i launch
Ableton Live before.

Evolver midi out > My firewire midi box in
My firewire midi box out > Evolver midi in.

I've tried to use a virtual midi cable but it doesn't work.

How do you do to use them both ?

Not all midi interface drivers have so called multi applikation abilities.
If the driver of your interface doesn't have this ability, it won't allow
two programs to use the midi ports simultaneously.
Most times you won't have another possibilty than to try a different
interface. It isn't easy however to find out if an interface is suited for
multi-application use because most manufacturers don't publish detailed
specifications about that.
