I like to use the DEVO to control bpms on both and let the sequencer and arps mingle and meet. I also tend to use the evolver for leads. It's not implcitly better at it, it's just kind of a mental block thing of mine. I'll lay down a looped bit of evolver with the VCA wide open using a looping pedal, layer some Virus over it then back to the evolver for some weeedly-weeedly stuff. It's remarkably satisfying
