is it easier to dial in a specfic patch number out of 128 with the pots? less likely to overshoot , or is it just as hard to find a specific point out of 128 as with the normal knobs? it is better to have the full range of possible amounts / patches spread out over multiple knob turns? i assume the pot has the whole range limited to a single knob turn. Are the pots less sensitive to getting 'touched' and changing the screen display? ________________________________ From: Robert Krueger <robert.krueger@...> To: DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, August 13, 2009 10:33:27 PM Subject: Re: [DSI Synths] Re: Pot upgrade for PEK!!!!!!!! ...not endless rotation either On Thu, Aug 13, 2009 at 9:45 PM, James Elliott <johans121@yahoo. com> wrote: >Pots will give us 3 things over encoders >1) Smoother operation >2) More accurate operation >3) Reliability > >Personally, the 3 hundred bucks will be well spent on this conversion.. . > >-Jim > > > > ________________________________ From: Iain Bryden <ibryden@book. com> >To: DSI_Evolver@ yahoogroups. com >Sent: Thursday, August 13, 2009 10:01:19 AM >Subject: RE: [DSI Synths] Re: Pot upgrade for PEK!!!!!!!! > > > >Forgive my lack of understanding.
