I was trying to duplicate a Prophet08 patch on my PEK, while i got a diffrent but useable sound using the 2 analog oscillators , i tried to duplicate the sequence--it seemed that a single 16 step sequence in straight 16ths would be simple-- notes and rests , but some how the Prophet plays the same sequence step program with a couple added audible 'grace ' notes that make it sound wonderfully funkier ,a bit syncopated ,But the PEK is all straight and looses that funkieness. is there any good explaination? the pattern is the same . the extra notes seem around the 8 and 16 steps. The basic sound isnt long or complex. im pretty sure the Prophet pattern was a factory program,(fusion bass?) but i may have altered it by now.
