thanks for checking into it... i hadnt connected the mod matrix to seq 3 , and it did certainly add release time even though suprisingly that seq was set to 'off'. However , it still did not make it less 'straight' and more funky. im still baffled by the phantom grace notes that me and my band insists are there despite it not showing in the step sequencer. i will try at it again, but both synths pattern is ---1note-2rest-3rest-4rest-5note-6rest-7rest-8rest 9note-10rest -11note -12rest-13 note -14note -15note- 16rest- yet i hear a double note around # 9/10 and 16/1 that makes it sound funkier. i have tried adding a note of another pitch on 10 and 16 which helps , but again its very straight, and doesnt swing like the original, and setting the pattern 16swing does NOT do it. --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "Stefan Trippler" <doct@...> wrote: > > If it's really the fusion bass preset: this one has pretty long release > times of all envelopes, but only in sequencer mode. > The envelope release times are pretty short in normal mode to make the sound > playable by the keyboard, but as soon as the sequencer is switched on, one > line of the sequencer has a full negative amount on all envelope release > times via the mod matrix, thus making them much longer than in keyboard > mode.
