If you need to do this live you may want to go PEK which has the combo mode. It's really a matter of remembering how to quicky switch the MEK to mono and DEVO to internal clock. Still, it's easier than playing a modular on stage. You would probably want a second controller as well if you want to modulate the root note of your sequence. If you have ever dreamt about owning a Taurus, you should look at a foot controller like a Roland PK-5. It's Prog-tastic and Berlin Schooley at the same time.
