Yeah, I should have mentioned that.  The Pot upgrade is flippin expensive
but, I had 2 or 3 dodgy encoders so I justified the expense along the lines
of "some encoders are not working correctly so I need to get it fixed;
upgrading gets it fixed with the bonus of turning my PEK into the synth it
should have been from day 1".

Without the dodgy encoders, I don't think I could have justified the
expense..
