Hey, don't apologize for asking! ;) I don't have Logic, and haven't
even tried driving my Evolver from an external sequencer yet, so I
may not be much help. However...
I pretty confident that the Trigger Select (Row 7, Knob 7) function
is NOT going to solve your problem. Trigger Select only specifies
whether MIDI and/or the internal sequencer trigger the Evolver
envelopes. That's not your issue.
I think you need to do one of two things:
1) Prevent Logic from sending the "sequencer start" message (sorry,
but I can't help you with that one - you'll have to hit the Logic
manual).
2) Try changing the Evolver "MIDI Clock" (Row 1, Knob 8) to either
OFF or OUt. This might prevent the internal sequencer from running
as a result of messages received from Logic.
Hope one of those two things works for you.

obviously missing summat here - how do i turn off a sequence, and, if
the patch has no sequence programmend for it (it's a preset) what
sequence is actually playing, does the sequene form the last patch
somehow carry over...
