Filter Overdrive

Filter Overdrive

I love the filter saturation of the Evolver.
Combined with a little distortion it does those characteristig mighty bass
sounds that none of my VAs is able to produce.
Here is a short 14 step sequence:

PC1600

2003-06-29 by Neil Goldstein

I am trying to install the PC1600x patches using MidiOx. It seems to
load the 1st 7 or so banks, then the others are showing error messages.

What are the MidiOx and PC1600x settings I need to use to transmit all
16 banks to the PC1600x?

Thanks

Neil

Speaking of overdrive I wasn't a big fan of the distortion in the Evolver when I
first started using it. But recently I realized that it helps to warm up the signal a
little at the end. For example I often find myself creating patches that sound
nice and analog but then I add in all three delay lines (can't help it) and
maybe a little of the feedback and soon the sound gets a kind of metallic
digital quality to it. Turning up the distortion just a little focuses the sound
back to the center a bit and rounds off some of that metallic sound in a very
useful way.
