Multitimbrality

Multitimbrality

2003-08-01 by pfm360

Hi

I was wondering if the DSI Evolver could be used as a multitimbral
unit from an external sequencer? Can it work so that each part was
using a different oscillator? Does anyone use it like this?

Thanks

Sorry if this is a double post but I dont see the post I earlier made
on here, so I'm posting again :)

evolver can't be used in this way. the closest that you'll get to
multitimbrality is letting seperate sequences of the built-in
sequencer control the oscillator frequencies. and although this might
be viewed as a limitation, it really isn't. the built-in features of
the evolver and its possibilities make up for the lack of multitimbrality.

Joe.
