Midi controller

I've got a PCR-50 midi controller which has 8 knobs and 8 sliders (and buttons) which are assignable. So far I've only assigned them to softsynths, but thought that setting it up to control some evolver's parameters would be a cool idea. Does anyone know how I would get started with this? (is it just a matter of assigning midi cc's?) Also maybe some suggestions as to what parameters would be fun to assign? I've read other posts with people being really creative with sort of thing. The PCR-50 also transmits SYSEX, but I don't know how that factors in yet. Please let me know if you have suggestions! Thanks, Rick
