Hello Isham,

welcome and congrats to you as new Evolver owner.

Imho the Evolver is an excellent synth module that can be used like a
conventional device without step sequencer too.
On the other hand, the step sequencer is an important part of the overall
concept of the Evolver. It offers a very different modulation source for any
sound parameter an d offers sound manipulation possibilities that I
personally didn't know befor. In terms of varying note pitches and rhythms,
a 16-step sequencer is very limited compared specialiced hard- or software
sequencers.
You should try the combination of both ;-)

Ski, one of the listmembers, is preparing a user soundset that will be
published s.o.o.n (know that word ? ;-))
Because of my untidyness I wasn't able to sort my own sounds yet. Due to the
Evolvers 3 segment LED display it often happens that I overwrite my own
sounds with new ones. Often I can hardly remember, if a particular sound is
my own or if it is a factory preset ;-) I really miss the feature to sign my
own creations with that DocT stamp.
Maybe a future OS will morph the LED display into a graphical 6 row display
;-)

Regards
Stefan
