Hi Amanda well the wx5 can be set to function in three different keys. The easiest is a to set it for "C" = under the rubber cover both "trns" switches to the left then C on the wx5 is C on the keyboard... making it very easy to play in C major or D major. You can't go wrong, the fingering is essentially the same as recorder or penny whistle - though octave keys take some getting used to and you really need to follow the instructions on setting up the wind and lip settings... tricky to get them right your studio is mad BTW! - I saw your link to it on the Andromeda list. I'm sure I would go crazy in such a place - don't you find it difficult to begin something with just so many choices? Do you really use everything or do you end up working with a narrower number of those tools? For me I just played soprano saxophone for 10 years - never even touched a synth, but since I got the wx5 I'm swimmng in this world of technological choice! enjoying it though ...
