funnily enuff that didn't work as windows remembered my previous settings -
FYI I seem to have solved it now by using really massive settings - all my
synths seem happy with that

[Evolver] Re: midi OX input buffers

I honestly don't remember the "default settings" for input and output
buffers. I'm currently using 16 Input Buffers of 256 Kb each, and I
think that may be the default for Input Buffers.

Dave's *recommended* settings for the Output Buffers (for OS upgrade
operations) have not changed. They're the same as we've already
talked about here several times, and as documented in the following
topic at EX5Tech:

"OS Upgrades and MIDI-OX Buffer Settings"
http://www.ex5tech.com/ex5ubb_cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?
ubb=get_topic&f=23&t=000045

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link above
onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link into your browser
address bar.)

128 Output Buffers of 1024 Kb each.

Note: If someone knows the REAL default for Input Buffers, please
reply and document them in the EX5Tech topic linked above so that we
won't lose the info. Thanks.
