Just a general point re un/pluging units , IMO i find it a def *No No* to directly unjack a PSU supply from the body of a synth/module, as metioned, an unintentional short can wreak havoc with the gubbins.
I would strongly recomend getting some power boards with individual switches so wall warts can be individually isolated.
Its worth noting too that most WW's carry a residual capacitance charge even after they have been unplugged (note how slowly the power LED "dims" on some WW units) so even when the "wart" end of a WW is unplugged it is still capable of discharge via the instrument end.
 
OTOH, a simple Evo on/off mains switch would save me from grovelling on the floor every time i need to power down the wee blue beasite and solve an unintentional shorting.

Yeah, kinda learned that the hard way... 

The Evo is the only unit I have that does have a dedicated on/off. I had just 
added it to my studio and was starting to dig in to it. As I'm sure all Evo owner 
have noted; within no time the Evo was adding incredible new life to song and 
opening doors to new stuff. So while caught up in write/making cool new 
tracks/sounds, I kept looking at the Evo thinking, "I should really get a 
dedicated power strip for this before I stick a no... d-oh, stuck a note ... " The 
rest is history. The Evo now has its own power strip in easy reach although 
since it's return I have not had a need to turn it off ... hmmm, Murphy's law or 
something ...
