The Peavey PC1600x works great, and there's already a set of patches for it
to control every parameter of the evolver, available from the DSI website. I
like it, though I don't use it as much as I could, and just program from the
front panel of the evolver most of the time.

More modern controllers seem to have a lot more functions, and are way
better if you're mostly software based..... but for the evolver you need one
with a pretty flexible SysEx implementation because the evolver takes its
parameters split in nibbles. The more modern control surfaces seem to
specialise in CCs and more limited SysEx implementations. Has anyone got a
more modern MIDI control surface working with the evolver?

Oh, and another question - the sounddiver PC adaptions available on the DSI
website.. are these updated for the V2.0 evolver OS, or were they left
behind when the soundtower editor came out?
